WHEN GOD CALLS YOU PART ONE

Give yourelf fully to the work of the Lord
                                                               1 Corinthians 15:58.

A CAREER is something you chose; a calling is something you receive. A career is something you do for yourself;  A calling is something you do for God. A career promises status, money, and power; a calling generally promises difficulty, suffering and the opportunity to be used by God. A career may end with retirement and lots of toys; a calling doesn’t end until you die. A career can be disrupted by any number of events, but God enables you to fulfill your calling even in the most difficult circumstances.  For some people in scripture obeying the call of God meant living in slavery, being captured and sent into exile, or being put to death. Their career trajectories didn’t look promising, yet they fulfilled their calling in extraordinary ways. Chuck Colson had one of the highest profile careers in America. He had access to power and influence in the Nixon white House, yet he landed in prison. His career was over, but his calling was just beginning. He was called to reach others just like himself. He reflects:

 ‘The real legacy of my life was my biggest failure- that I was an ex-convict. My great humiliation- being sent to prison- was the beginning of God’s greatest use of my life;

He chose the one experience in which I couldn’t glory [and used it] for His glory. ‘In the providence of God, the end of your career can be the beginning of your calling. So whatever God has called you to do, the Bible says, ‘Give yourselves fully to the work…because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.’

WORD OF WISDOM

Buffalos kill 7 people every year.
Lions kill 500 people every year.
Hippos kill 800 people every year
Spiders kill 5000 people every year.
Scorpions kill 7000 people every year.
Snakes kill 10000 people every year.

And then, surprisingly,

Mosquitoes kill 2.7 million people every year. Yes, the smallest are the deadliest!

Small 'sins', hardly noticed by many, are the most deadly to your spiritual life.

Avoid excuses for not praying and allotting few moments of your day to your Creator.

Sins of omission are just as deadly as sins of commission.

Gossiping and small lies, are committed more frequently and are deadly.

Mind those little compromises that you do daily. They are the ones that will bring your downfall.

Successful people have two things on their lips, "Smile and silence".

Smile can solve problems, while
Silence can avoid problems.

Sugar and salt may be mixed together
but ants reject the salt and carry away only the sugar.

Select the right people in life and make your life better and sweeter.

If you failed to achieve your dreams, change your ways not your Creator.

Remember, trees change their leaves, not their roots.

You will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks.

Haters will see you walking on water and say it's because you can't swim.

Even if you dance on water, Your enemies will accuse you of raising dust.

Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your own hands.

Remember Don’t ever wrestle with a pig. You’ll both get dirty, but the pig will enjoy it.

BE WISE!

What Is Sin?

What Is Sin

What Is Sin - The Big Question
We live in a culture where the concept of sin has become entangled in legalistic arguments over right and wrong. When many of us consider "What is sin?" we think of violations of the Ten Commandments. Even then, we tend to think of murder and adultery as "major" sins compared with lying, cursing, or idolatry.

The truth is that sin, as defined in the original translations of the Bible, means "to miss the mark." The mark, in this case, is the standard of perfection established by God and evidenced by Jesus. Viewed in that light, it is clear that we are all sinners.
